We come from a time of pre-industry where everyday items were dreamed up by a man or woman, patented, and were created with care and beauty in mind. We did not always discard; we cherished. We created out of necessity, problem-solving. I want to honor those triumphs in my work.
I have always been a storyteller and a lover of tales. I have had an affinity for things of the past since childhood. My wearable artwork was through a need to express myself and the need I found in others. I have always believed in the power of words, and so I incorporate them.
