Glass

My Process

Flame worked glass using torch, oxygen, propane, and rods of glass and glass tubing. I melt the glass with a torch and draw designs, flowers, and various patterns into the clear glass by imploding it up inside the glass. This is done in layers to give it the look of a real flower.

My Inspiration

I have many flower gardens in my yard that I grow and look at them for idea's. I also attract many different birds and animals and use them as reference. I find it relaxing to be outside working in my garden and looking at the flowers and animals.

Fun Facts

Every piece of glass I create is unique. When applying the colored glass into the clear glass, it moves as you are working with it, so every petal on a flower is different-just like a real flower. You can not duplicate the work-so one of a kind. Colors of glass can change- giving you surprises.
