My two favorite traditional mediums are acrylic on canvas and cut paper collage, and I'm often using them both in tandem now, built up in many layers with transparency to create depth, and the signature dot work I finish with creates light and playful magic.
The natural world is what inspires me most— leaves, flowers, rocks and the things of the Earth— but the things I paint are things of my imagination. Making art was something that came to me when not all things were clear, and it continues to be the place where I feel both grounded and enchanted.
Many of my signature techniques and approaches come from "mistakes" that put me in a situation of problem solving. I think one of the best ways to make authentic work is to start off with no intention to make it good.
