I am heavily inspired by moments where nature overtakes the human world (a plant growing through a crack in the sidewalk, an overgrown vacant lot) as well as human attempts to control nature (a cube-shaped hedge). I am also very drawn to the sublime beauty of landscapes, cityscapes and forests.
Much of my work is created on scraps of recycled packaging, giving new life and an ephemerality to something that otherwise would have be thrown away. These are also framed in secondhand frames, creating something fresh and lasting from society's refuse.
