Artists Judith Marchand & David Horowitz create original plaster artworks called "Modern Fossils" by using both natural and man-made objects which they find during local environmental clean-ups. Their work embodies a vital environmental message: the necessity of keeping our Planet clean and healthy.
We are inspired by the beauty of nature, and by the opportunity to educate others about the urgent necessity of protecting our environment and the creatures who depend upon a clean & healthy Earth for survival. Every Modern Fossil piece is a continuous discovery of commonly found materials, salvaged from environmental clean-ups. This makes each unique artwork an exploratory experience of hidden treasures, constantly engaging the viewers' vision and challenging their observational skills.
