Nature and my natural surroundings are my main inspiration. I’m also drawn to symbolism and how we use them as personal talismans.
The main material in my work is metal clay. It’s a malleable metal (recycled fine metal particles, cellulose, and water) that once fired at a high temperature leaves me with just the sintered metal. It was introduced in the 1990’s by the Mitsubishi company.
