In my wildlife and nature paintings, life-like representation emerges from layers of tonal abstraction. I explore oils, acrylics, aerosols, and dry media on diverse surfaces, utilizing classic techniques as well as unique innovations like dual-sided painting on broken glass.
I am deeply inspired by the stunning complexity, beauty, and fragility of wildlife and nature, as well as our relationship to it as caretakers. My art seeks to celebrate the natural world while raising awareness of critical issues to aid in its protection and preservation.
Some of my best paintings began with a hammer! The fractures in the glass substrate shape the imagery as I paint on both sides in my broken glass paintings. A portion of every sale and commission of my artwork is dedicated to supporting animal welfare and wildlife conservation initiatives.
