Living in a world where we are constantly entertained by imagery inspires me to create contemplative works that challenge the viewer to slow down and engage.
I enjoy placing animals in my pieces because the viewer is more receptive to engaging with art that explores new ideas if that journey involves an octopus or a giraffe instead of a human.
