Wood

My Process

Angry Nimbus Woodcraft produces handmade wooden furniture, home-goods, kitchenware and sculpture using a technique known as fractal-burning. We use high-voltage electricity to produce intricate, dendritic patterns to adorn the work. Each burn is unique, and cannot be recreated.

My Inspiration

I am driven to create and build. Most of my inspiration comes from the beauty of the natural materials that I work with, and the sense that I can give those materials a purpose in someone else's life.

Fun Facts

The patterns created through fractal-burning are known as Lichtenberg figures. Named after the Austrian physicist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, who first produced them in the late 1700's using a static electrical charge.
