Most of my work is oil paint (sometimes acrylic) applied to canvas with a pallet knife and some brush work. Because I am colorblind, I take pictures (as opposed to working in the field) because it takes longer for my brain to process color.
My biggest inspiration is seeing how light impacts landscapes of Bucks County, Maine and other places of beauty.
Interpreting color is challenging, but also gives me "artistic privilege" to paint what I see, even if it's not accurate.
